- Miscellaneous Information:
Welcome! My name is Martin, I'm from the beautiful city of Nuremberg, Germany, and work at the UESTC since mid-February 2016. My duties are mainly to help establishing our new Summer School, to enhance contact with foreign institutions, especially from Latin America and Europe, to create new linkages with entreprises, and for creating and maintaing this website. I hope you like it ;-). Please let me know anything I could help you with.
For all questions related to admission and registration, please keep on using the main English website of the UESTC, http://en.uestc.edu.cn/, thanks.
Some information about myself: I studied Geography in Germany, at the Catholic University Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, from 1994 until 2000. In 1997, I studied abroad for one semester at the Iberoamericana University in Mexico City, Mexico, and in 1999/2000 I spent another semester at the University Joseph Fourier in Grenoble, France.
From 2001 until August 2007 I was working at the International School of Management (ISM) in Dortmund, Germany, within the Department of Tourism Studies and than later within the International Office. In September 2007, I moved back to Mexico and started to work at the Iberoamericana University, again within the International Office. From October 2010 until December 2015 I was working as Head of the International Office at the Ibero. After then more than eight years in Mexico, it was time for a change, for seeing, experiencing something new. When the opportunity came up to work at the UESTC, I moved to China, and started to work in the International Office in mid-February 2016.
